Reliable cat sitting services
Terms and conditions
For safety reasons please remove collars before arrival.
All cats should be registered with a veterinary practice and the contact details should be provided to the cattery on arrival.
Cats will normally be housed in a unit with enclosed heated sleeping accommodation; however we may find it necessary to make use of a temporary “pen only” accommodation should a cat not be collected on time or to allow for thorough cleaning and disinfection of the units as necessary.
Boarding arrangements / payment methods
Please note we do not accept card payments.
Reservations can be made by telephone or email. Fees are charged at a nightly rate.
We accept cash, bank transfers or cheque payments. Payment is due on the date of collection. If your drop-off or collection date changes from the period booked, we will charge for the full duration of the original booking.
A minimum charge of 3 nights will be applied to all short-stay bookings to cover deep clean and sanitisation of pens between guests, along with replacement of bedding and other consumables.
Drop-offs: Monday to Saturday: 8:00 am – 11:00 am and 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Sunday: 8:00 am – 11:00 am only
Collections: Monday to Saturday: 8:00 am – 10:00 am and 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Sunday: 8:00 am – 10:00 am only
Please note we are only open AM on public holidays.
Pick-ups or collections outside of these hours may only be accommodated by prior arrangement with the proprietors.
We recommend that sturdy plastic / wire carry cases are used to transport your cat and the security of all clasps and locks are checked before departing for the cattery. Should you choose to deliver or remove your cat in what we consider to be an insecure manner, the owner will be responsible for the safety of the cat until it is either securely housed in its accommodation or in its transport home.
We are willing to administer medication, which have been prescribed by a vet providing full and clear instructions are left by the owner. There is no charge for this service, and we accept no responsibility for any effects of this medication during the boarding period.
Fleas and worms
Should your cat be found to show evidence of flea infestation whilst boarding with us, we will inform you of this on collection. In extreme cases, however we also reserve the right to make an additional charge of £25.00 to cover the cost of decontamination should this be required.
Should owners wish to supply their own alternate food then they are welcome to do so.
Cats with special dietary needs should have all food supplied by the owners. Please ensure an adequate supply for the duration of the stay plus a little extra in case of delays in collecting your cat.
Illness / vet
All cats must be healthy on arrival. We may accept cats for boarding with a pre-existing illness providing that it has been diagnosed by a vet, however we reserve the right to refuse boarding to any cat that in our judgement is appearing to be unwell or thought to be suffering from any illness or infectious disease, in order to protect and safeguard the health of the other resident cats.
Veterinary services will be arranged with your usual vet (with your consent) should this be necessary during your cats stay. However should an emergency situation arise, we reserve the right to take your cat to a more local veterinary practice if necessary.
Transportation costs to and from the veterinary practice will be charged to the owner and payable on collection. Any veterinary fees incurred will be the responsibility of the owner.
Please inform us if your cat has any unusual habits or behaviour so that these are not mistaken for an illness.
Any extra costs incurred during your cats stay must be paid for on collection. Willow Tree Cattery reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
If you have any questions or concerns before or after a period of boarding, please do not hesitate to contact us.
